Hi peeps,

I need to provide some SEO projections to my peers before they'll loosen those purse strings and let me invest resources on a SEO campaing.

Our existing site pull in 150,000 pagevies a month and we are looking to achieve a 30% traffic increase to couter-act the drop we are expecting to see with the forthcoming site re-launch (same domain, new technology).

I'd like to pick your brains as to what you think would be realistic projections on traffic levels for month 3, 6, 9, and 12, when implementing a full blown SEO campaing (linking, content optimization, niche keyword targeting, etc), taking into account that at present we do not implement SEO in any shape or form (though we do have a PR6 on Google).

For reference, the site is www.moneyfacts.co.uk (http://www.moneyfacts.co.uk)

Thanks for sharing the knowledge...

Marco.

Marco.New technology means, you are moving to another server side language? That means none of the existing links would work! Atleast in short term, it may affect your site in a big way. I strongly suggest url rewriting or Seo friendly redirect for major urls atleast.

Since you already have a good PR, it may be dificult to improve much by link building. Onsite optimizations may be easier to do.

Can't give any projectiions without knowing your site well. The repeat visitors, the traffic you get from search engines etc. are important in reaching any estimate. Also your mods of advertisement.
