Webmasters all over the world are reporting that the PR tool has been greyed out and is showing no results.

Do you all think that this is a temporary maintenance issue or is visual or "toolbar" PR gone for ever???

IMO, they are just trying to hide the true pr.

IMO, they are just trying to hide the true pr.

"True" PR has never been available to the public.

The PR that is displayed on the google toolbar is not the PR that is used to calculate serps.

There are several threads in this category that describe the differences between toolbar PR and "true" PR.

Your assertion cannot be correct because "true" PR has always been hidden.

Googleguy has come out of hiding to announce that PR will be back up and running shortly:

For those who don't know, googleguy is allegedly an employee of Google. There's no way of proving this of course, but usually what he says comes to fruition...

Good point!

On another note, it was amazing to see the wild discussions that sprung out when PR disappeared for a few days.

There are a lot of misinformed webmasters out there...
