Looks like google updated it's directory PR again. Could be a precursor to toolbar PR update...
What do you all think?

Seems a bit early, but I wouldn't complain!

Google's directory very often is misleading...

It's not misleading...it simply works on a different scale than the toolbar PR.
The toolbar PR works on a ten point scale (1-10)
The directory PR works on a 7 point scale (1-7)
By the way, I don't think we'll see a toolbar PR update until early April...

I agree... late march or early april for the next update.
It's always a guess, though, because G is constantly trying to throw people off. I even see now that sites show in backlink checks that do not really link to the sites.
This seems to me to make the "link:" command in Google virtually worthless now (from a lack of trust perspective), but I suppose that's another topic. ;)

What way the directory update will affect? Any change in traffic or toolbar rank change?

Remember that "visual" PR updates (whether on the toolbar or the directory) are simply a gauge of your sites potency. "Visual" PR does not affect serps in any way.

Yep, visual PR updates are just a more recent view into the actual PR that was probably already being used by the algorithm.

What way the directory update will affect?
It will affect only directory sites' disposition

it's "position"...web sites don't have a "disposition" (they aren't human) ; )

Directory PR updates are usually a good gauge of what will happen to your toolbar PR ranking.
If your directory PR went up, there's a good chance that your toolbar PR will do the same...

The probability of this is rather high but not the guarantee...

I haven't done enough systematic testing to disagree with you, but I will say that every time one of my site's PR has moved up on the directories 7 point scale it subsequently moves up when the toolbar updates it's PR rankings.

Just to differ... :)
My toolbar PR never matches the PR changes in the directory. It changes in the directory...and no changes take place in the next toolbar update. Go figure. This has happened 3 times now for 2 sites of mine. I have ZERO trust in the directory PR.
