Some people use the concept of hidden text as it will attract the search engine spiders. This is not fair with the users. Hidden text are those which have the same colour as the background. This can be made visible only when the user highlights it. But google has taken steps to prevent this and considers it as a spamming technique. Google has started penalising the sites with this feature.
