I did a ton of research on wordtracker and one of the keywords my co used in the past shows 0 searches in 90 days. Management says that wordtracker cannot be accurate because they have done google searches using that keyword. How can I explain this to them when I'm a little puzzled myself? I'm a big advocate of wordtracker but is it odd that a lot of our keywords are not even showing up in wordtracker's database? Please advise. No one likes bad news and I've been delivering bad news-I just want to be able to back up the research. Thanks.

Use Google suggests....
Wordtracker is with paid ones.. The free ones displays or has limited resources you will buy for the premium one...

Actually wordtracker is with payment so if you use the free it will only display limited searches of that keywords. While Google suggests is a compilation of keyword searches for the previous 3 months. ;)

Not accurate. Keyword tools that are paid I think displays and gives more accurate results.

Wordtracker seems to be much lower than the data from ADwords suggests though the relative volumes are OK.
Using Wordtracker as a part of keywords strategy, but ignore the KEI and competition figures. The way I see it you should be shooting for a place on the first page and so the pages of the top ten listings are the only competition. The number of competitors in only a very rough indication of what the competition is like, doing some detailed research on the PR, the number of inbound links the rankings in Allinanchor, the rankings in allintitle using your search terms in quotes etc of the top 5 ranking sites will give you much more pricise information.
