My most important keyword that I am trying to rank for - I am ranking #1 for on Yahoo but I'm stuck right around #16 on Google. I'm guessing it has a lot to do with inbound links. I don't have too many and I'm assuming Google places more value on those than Yahoo does.
What do you guys think could be keeping me from ranking better on Google that's not affecting me on Yahoo?

I agree... I have a tendacy to believe that Google is focused more on content rather than links... or at least when compared to Yahoo...
Google... Content is king...
Yahoo... Links are everything...
MSN... ( are they ever going to let up with that refferal spam or what? )

I would love to hear why you feel that's the way it is... Maybe I should clarify my statement and say that...
Google Page Rank and Content is king. On-site linking to distribute page rank accordingly will be a major deciding factor as to whether you get good position in the index. But Relevancy... IE content is more important. I have websites which have extremely low backlink counts but alot of content which grabs a wide spectrum of orgnica referrals.
While Yahoo puts more emphasis on off-site quality backlinks. I cannot gain any referrals from Yahoo search unless there are a good number of quality backlinks pointed at the site. Regardless of how much content I pump inot a site.
